I am WAY behind on blogging these days. I’ll try to get caught up with lots of pictures and a little description of what has been going on.
We went back to DC for Christmas as usual this year. Bobby went up to Leigh’s parents, so it was just Alan & I, my parents, and Grandma.
For New Years we had plans to fly to Charlotte to see the Allens and meet their new newest addition, Anna. We found out prior to Christmas that our little friend Preston (who had recently moved from Houston to Durham) had relapsed again and so we decided to make a quick day trip up to Durham to see him in the hospital there. Preston had just gotten out of ICU and wasn’t feeling all that great, but it was great to see him and his family.
We loved meeting our new little “niece” Anna. She turned 1 month old while we were there and is just precious. We spent a lot of time cuddling with her and hanging out with Nick & Tracy. Nick & Alan golfed one morning and then took Anna while Tracy & I went to the spa for a little girl time that afternoon. For New Years eve we had a pajama party and made breakfast for dinner. I guess we are getting old because we saw the ball drop & were in bed about 2 minutes later. Such a fun trip seeing them though…we only wished we lived closer!
