Alan had a friend that he played baseball with in college visiting this past weekend. Unfortunately, Houston got some much needed rain Friday & Saturday, so we were somewhat limited as to what we could do. But Sunday turned out to be gorgeous, so we decided to drive down to Galveston and go to the beach!

Art Car Parade
The Houston Art Car Parade is an annual occurrence that takes place literally down the street from my house. It’s been going on since 1988 and I have lived here for 5 years but have never seen it. So this year I told Alan that it was a must for us to go, after all it is 1) The Nation’s Largest Art Car Parade 2) Attracts 250+ vehicles and other entries from 23 states along with Canada and Mexico 3)Attracts a live audience of some 250,000 people. With all this being said, let me tell you, it was definitely a site & something I was very happy I got to experience first hand.
Here are some of my favorites!
This one wins most Patriotic in my book! Tennis Ball Car?? Yep! And they were throwing tennis balls at the crowd! This was pretty cool! The peacock feathers went up and down!
And my personal all time Favorite (drum roll, please!…..)
